Chromosome staining/banding/FISH
C-banding showed the presence of constitutive heterochromatin in the centromeric regions of all chromosomes, a nucleolar organizer region was found in the interstitial region of the long arm of pair 15 that was confirmed by DAPI and chromomycin A3 staining and FISH with 18S rDNA probes.
